The Black Wall Maze is the attraction citizens argue about for weeks afterward. You walk in through a thriving business district and find your route narrowed by policy, insurance, interstate, and fire. Every turn is documented; nothing in the maze is invented. You leave through a door marked What We Rebuild.
What happens here
- Self-guided walk-through of the district, the burning, and the rebuild
- Docent-led tours for schools and Voices of Foster Care groups
- Archive alcoves with deeds, maps, and newspaper plates
- Debrief room with the Elders' Office at the exit
